2010年2月26-28日陈广汉教授和张光南博士赴美国费城参加东部经济学家年会（Eastern Economic Association Annual Meeting 2010），并就所提交的会议论文Investment in Transportation Infrastructure and Economic Growth in China发表演讲和讨论。该协会主席和当选主席分别为著名经济学家曼昆（N. Gregory Mankiw）和诺贝尔经济学奖得主克鲁格曼（Paul Krugman），协会刊物为东部经济学杂志（Eastern Economic Journal）。
